The Rhythm4Wellness team is led by Anthony De Nardo, a leading practitioner in the design and delivery of evidence based interventions utilising rhythm to assist with social and emotional learning for Anti-bullying.
Anthony is a lifelong musician and master percussionist, attending numerous workshops in African cultural drumming. He attended a training workshop in Greenville, Texas with Arthur Hull from Village Music Circles, being first introduced to a facilitated, fully inclusive, and in-the-moment rhythm making experience that was not based on learning set rhythms, no wrong beats, and all players were actively engaged, regardless of their drumming skills or experience. Anthony has also completed Facilitator trainings in the very successful DRUMBEAT and Rhythm2Recovery programs for using drums in psycho-social learning programs.
Anthony has worked with a broad range of people dealing with a diverse range of challenging issues and designed a wide number of programs for different population groups. These include young people ‘at risk’, people dealing severe intellectual and physical disabilities, mental health challenges and developmental disorders.
Anthony also teaches private music lessons, performs professionally, and has facilitated group drumming for schools, aged care, special needs, community events, and corporate team building events.
